Uniting Green is helping individuals, congregations and agencies of the Uniting Church's Queensland Synod to live sustainably and care for the earth as an integral part of living out Christian faith.
Uniting Green facilitates sharing stories, ideas, information and resources to encourage
growth in our understanding and appreciation of God’s relationship with the whole creation, and our role within it.
- Explore new theological insights from re-reading scripture, rediscovering more earth-friendly perspectives in the Christian tradition, and drawing on knowledge from modern science, technology, and experience.
- Try worship in new ways, including learning to listen in the silence of meditation, enjoying a bush walk, and using new songs and prayers that express both the cry of the earth and also our commitment to serving the creation.
- Be open to the leading and transformation of God’s Spirit in personal discipleship and lifestyle.
- Participate in the local and global Earth community to bring God’s healing to the Earth.
